About The Position

As a Receiver, you will ensure that the correct merchandise is received by the facility free of damage, infestation, and in correct quantities. This role involves examining contents, comparing them with records, and accurately recording shipment data into the computer system. You will also assist with maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counting and researching customer service issues related to shipments.

Responsibilities

Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of incoming shipments.
Record the correct count and pallet type for input upon completion of the PO.
Record shipment data into the computer system, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
Maintain accurate counts on inbound freight to ensure appropriate storage availability.
Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory through cycle/directed counting.
Research customer service issues, including but not limited to shortages, overages, and damages, and recommend appropriate response.
Monitor the receiving management system for open invoices.
Label all pallets to be stocked and verify the accuracy of inbound freight received by comparing the purchase order with the bill of lading.
Record discrepancies on the bill of lading and inform the clerk and/or appropriate management of damage and inventory shortages.
Operate the current management system.
Utilize necessary technology (e.g., gun) to check in the product.
