About The Position

The company's team members serve national accounts, independent and chain grocers, e-commerce retailers, U.S. military commissaries and exchanges, and the Company’s own brick-and-mortar grocery stores, pharmacies, and fuel centers. This Receiver Retail role is responsible for the efficient and accurate checking of all vendor deliveries and performing other required functions efficiently within company policies to ensure the shift contributes to the best financial interest of the store. All other assigned duties must be completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products
  • Detail Oriented

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all procedures are followed when checking in or out vendors.
  • Receive all merchandise, check and verify invoices, process all credits, accurately log according to company procedures.
  • Communicate promptly to the Store Director any problems or situations which may affect the integrity of the store or of the vendor.
  • Ensure stock/product is taken to applicable storage and/or workload areas.
  • Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
  • Knowledge of product locations in the store, in order to be able to assist customers.
  • Maintain receiving records and logs for internal audits.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
  • Follow all policies and procedures relating to security of receiving door.
  • Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
  • Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
  • Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
