About The Position

Receive and log customer stock using ISO 9001 instructions. This role involves unloading and unpacking incoming shipments, inspecting and counting materials to ensure conformance, examining shipments for defects, and recording all relevant information into the computer system. The Receiver is also responsible for attaching identification data, routing stock, and conveying materials to designated areas. A strong commitment to quality, adherence to ISO 9001 standards, and compliance with all safety policies are essential. The position also requires displaying behavior and judgment that upholds company values.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic warehouse operations.
  • Basic PC, math, and reading skills.
  • Good prioritization and communication skills.
  • Ability to use warehouse equipment including forklift, order picker, count scale, electric jack and manual hand jack.
  • Ability to work independently toward general results.
  • Must demonstrate working proficiency of the English language.
  • Can effectively communicate with, but not limited to, English speaking employees/other business contacts (contractors, customers, vendors, etc).
  • Successfully comprehends business materials written in English (job assignments, instructions, etc).
  • Ability to learn cGMP requirements as it relates to their role -- required prior to working on cGMP service lines.
  • Ability to learn PDMA requirements as it relates to their role -- required prior to working on Prescription Drug service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Unload and unpack incoming shipments as appropriate for department.
  • Inspect and count or weigh materials to ensure conformance to packing information.
  • Examine shipments for defects.
  • Record amounts of materials received, items, shortages, and damages into computer system.
  • Record factors causing materials to be returned.
  • Attach identification data onto materials.
  • Route stock in specified sequence for other workers to place in warehouse.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas as appropriate for department.
  • Attend Warehouse meetings as required.
  • Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all ISO 9001 related standards.
  • Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager.
  • All other duties/ responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Displays behavior and judgment that consistently upholds Hibbert ACT values.
