About The Position

The Receiver is responsible for accepting, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments and inventory. This role ensures all products are accurately received, documented, and stored according to company procedures. The Receiver works closely with warehouse staff, vendors, and management to maintain inventory accuracy and support efficient operations.

Requirements

• Ability to follow both written and oral directions
• Basic mathematic skills
• Basic computer skills and data entry skills
• Ability to safely operate forklifts when necessary
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift to, but no greater than 50lbs, unassisted
• Ability to safely climb and descend ladders
• The ability to operate powered industrial equipment, pallet jacks and various other warehouse machinery and tools
• Specific vision abilities such as: Close vision, Color vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Adjusted focus

Nice To Haves

• Previous or current forklift certification is a plus but required
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments
• Verify quantities and inspect products for damage
• Compare packing slips with purchase orders
• Accurately enter inventory data into the system
• Organize and store materials in designated areas
• Maintain a clean and safe receiving area
• Communicate discrepancies or shortages to management
• Assist with inventory counts and stock organization
