This position is responsible for various shipping and receiving duties, including operating forklifts and cranes, preparing shipping documents, managing inventory, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of materials. Requirements

Forklift operation qualification.
Crane operation qualification.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Knowledge, skill, and/or ability to perform the job functions.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and cranes safely and effectively.
Prepare shipping documents such as BOL’s, shippers, and load sheets.
Prepare bar code labels for shipments and scan product for verification.
Pull EDI releases daily and interpret release information.
Communicate release information via spreadsheets, email, etc.
Send ASN’s to customers within acceptable time windows.
Process received materials paperwork according to procedures.
Stage and load materials into trucks or railcars.
Perform quality inspection of parts.
Obtain signatures from truck drivers.
Receive and unload materials and/or racks safely.
Perform count and quality inspections and notify appropriate personnel.
Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers.
Convey material from storage or work sites to designated areas.
Clean work area, machines, and equipment.
Perform daily preventative maintenance checks and production inspection checks.
Interact and communicate daily with other shift’s employees, supervisors, and management.
Demonstrate efficient time management skills.
