Receiver / Warehouse and Stock Team Member
About The Position
Gary's Wine & Marketplace is a locally owned and operated wine retailer known for offering one of the largest and finest selections of wines, beers, spirits, cheeses, meats, and gourmet foods in the tri-state area. With both brick-and-mortar stores and online presence, we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and product knowledge. We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Receiver / Warehouse and Stock team member to join our back-of-house operations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and proper stocking of our products to maintain inventory accuracy and support smooth store operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or stock management preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in checking orders
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload shipments promptly and accurately
- Inspect incoming products for quality and accuracy against purchase orders
- Properly store and organize inventory in the warehouse
- Prepare stock for shelving and assist with stocking duties as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and stock areas
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill stock and delivery needs
- Perform periodic inventory counts and assist with inventory management
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
