As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by receiving freight accurately, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with most of the shift spent on your feet. Schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight hours depending on store needs. You may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position involves unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms and shelves, and keeping the workspace clean and safe. You may use equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, and balers. For Pro Fulfillment Stores, responsibilities also include picking, staging, and loading Flatbed Delivery orders and communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction. The work environment may include both indoor and outdoor conditions and exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty weather, as well as noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or nearby-store support.
