About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with associates spending most of their shift on their feet. Work hours may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates may also assist customers and teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. For Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders accurately and safely, rotating orders by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating proactively with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness best practices. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor environments, varying climates and weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used when required, with proper training or help from a trained coworker.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual talent, military talent, and veteran talent are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment such as scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
