About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role involves unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing your work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with much of the shift spent on your feet. Work hours may be in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates are also expected to assist customers and teammates in a friendly, professional manner. Daily work includes unloading freight, moving merchandise to the sales floor, stocking and organizing shelves, maintaining the backroom, and keeping the workspace clean and safe. Associates may help customers locate or load products and may support additional Pro Fulfillment Store activities such as picking, staging, and loading flatbed delivery orders. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor environments, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Associates must follow safe lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment must be used with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual skills, military experience, or veteran status are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Communicate proactively with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
