Full Time - Receiver/Stocker - Overnight
About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, moving products to the sales floor, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, and requires attention to detail and safe lifting practices. Most of the shift is spent on your feet. Schedules may include morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight hours based on store needs. Associates provide friendly, professional customer assistance, including helping customers locate or load products. The role may also include additional Pro Fulfillment Store tasks, such as picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, resolving order issues, communicating with customers, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor work, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind, drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, which limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Three months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Six months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran applicants are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support store operations.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- At Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction and execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
