About The Position

As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, handling equipment and hazardous materials safely, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, and requires safe lifting practices and attention to detail. Associates spend most of their shift on their feet and may work mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight depending on store needs. They may also assist customers or teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position maintains stocked shelves and organized backrooms by unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, and keeping the workspace clean and safe. Associates may help customers locate or load products. At Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading orders, rotating them by delivery date, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Work conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varying and sometimes extreme weather, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting must follow guidelines, with single lifts limited to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
Bilingual, military, and veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
At Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
Load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
Proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
Assist customers in locating or loading products as needed.
