As a Receiver/Stocker, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, safely handling equipment and hazardous materials, and preparing work areas for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, with associates spending most of their shift on their feet. Although the title specifies overnight, the description says shifts may fall in the morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight depending on store needs. Associates may also help customers or teammates with a friendly, professional attitude. The position supports store operations by unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, maintaining organized backrooms, and keeping workspaces clean and safe. Associates may assist customers with locating or loading products. In Pro Fulfillment Stores, additional duties include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, loading and rotating orders, resolving customer order issues, communicating with customers about delivery satisfaction, and following Delivery Readiness practices. Working conditions vary by location and may include both indoor and outdoor environments, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind, drafts, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or as needed. Powered equipment must be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
