About The Position
As a Receiver/Stocker, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. The role includes unloading deliveries, safely handling equipment and hazardous materials, and preparing the work area for daily operations. It is physical and fast-paced, requires safe lifting practices and attention to detail, and involves spending most of the shift on your feet. Shift times may vary according to store needs. Associates may also help customers and teammates in a friendly, professional manner. The position supports store operations by unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, organizing backrooms, verifying deliveries, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Depending on the store, additional Pro Fulfillment responsibilities include picking and staging Flatbed Delivery orders, safely loading orders, managing delivery-date rotation, resolving order issues, communicating with customers, and following Delivery Readiness practices. The job may involve inside and outside work and exposure to varied weather, noise, and moving equipment. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at nearby stores.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
- Follow safe lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; use team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- 3 months of experience operating forklifts or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran talent are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering project support.
- Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
- Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock preparation, and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
- Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
- Work as a team player and complete other assigned tasks.
- For Pro Fulfillment Stores, use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
- For Pro Fulfillment Stores, load delivery orders while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
- For Pro Fulfillment Stores, rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
- For Pro Fulfillment Stores, proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
- For Pro Fulfillment Stores, execute Delivery Readiness best practices.
