About The Position

As a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC), you will oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations to ensure merchandise is accurately received, accounted for, and stocked. You will walk the store daily to scan DSD items, identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and work closely with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You will communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution. The role also includes monitoring donations, managing grocery and non-perishable inventories, and maintaining a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and able to contribute in a fast-paced store setting. Physical activities include lifting or carrying 5–50 lbs., pushing or pulling 10–50 lbs., and standing or walking for extended periods.

Requirements

• Experience receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory, especially in a retail or grocery environment.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Attention to detail when monitoring damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and processing returns for credit.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in backroom and receiving areas.
• Ability to make decisions independently and resolve issues related to inventory and deliveries.
• Effective communication with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and fellow associates.
• Ability to lift or carry 5–50 lbs., push or pull 10–50 lbs., and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Commitment to upholding a positive customer experience through accurate inventory and store readiness.
