About The Position

This role oversees the unloading and receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring all items are received in good condition. The Receiver III operates specialized extrusion-processing machinery, including thermal strip insertion and pour-and-debridge machines, forklifts, and side loaders. This position requires safe handling and occasional manual lifting of aluminum extrusions. The Receiver III accurately checks incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, identifies, and resolves discrepancies. They safely transport and store materials in designated warehouse locations using material handling equipment and conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specified standards and are free from damage or defects. This role works closely with other departments, such as purchasing and production, to ensure efficient workflow and communicates with a supervisor or Purchasing Department when materials/supplies are running low. The Receiver III conducts thorough inspections of materials throughout the shift to ensure they are properly stocked and organized and adheres to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment. They demonstrate MITER Brands Guiding Principles in all business interactions. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent level of accuracy and thoroughness in verifying shipments
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications and drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Great interpersonal skills are essential to operate in and maintain a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Forklift, pallet jack and scissor lifts experience with the ability to obtain certification onsite is required.
  • Advanced computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending are required.
  • Ability to operate standard shipping and warehouse equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-5 years of incoming inventory/materials experience in manufacturing preferred.
