Requirements

Receipt inspector experience in a nuclear quality assurance environment.
Experience in performing detailed reviews of quality documentation to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
Experience using precision measurement tools and equipment, such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Basic understanding of quality management system requirements and related documentation.
Experience in the preparation of QA procedures for review, approval, and issuance in accordance with requirements and/or standards.
Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
This person will interface with the quality control team and the manufacturing plant.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and document non-conformities accurately.
Proficient in using computer applications, including Microsoft Office, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and quality control software.
Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.

Certification in quality control or related discipline (e.g., Certified Quality Technician, ASQ certification).

Responsibilities

Approve incoming parts and materials by confirming compliance to purchase orders, technical specifications, and drawings.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements to verify product conformance.
Review and validate supplier documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (CoC), material test reports (MTRs), dimensional inspection reports, non-destructive examination (NDE) test reports, and other quality records.
Verify traceability of materials where required by Centrus specifications.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections as needed using calibrated tools and approved inspection methods.
Perform detailed measurements and examinations using precision tools and equipment, such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system including nonconformances, discrepancies, and acceptance records.
Segregate and control nonconforming items.
Initiate, track, and complete nonconformance reports.
Support follow up actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Suppler Quality to resolve technical issues and ensure proper disposition of inspected items.
Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and work instructions.
