The Division of Public Safety is currently accepting applications for a Real-Time Information Center Specialist to work in the Real-Time Information Center. The mission of the Real-Time Information Center (RTIC) will centralize a broad range of current and evolving technologies, coordinate sworn and/or nonsworn human resources, and direct the attention of both to high-crime areas, active crimes in progress, large-scale public events that may require law enforcement presence or response, and/or high-profile or highly recidivistic offenders in the community. The RTIC Specialist will provide real-time monitoring of information sources for law enforcement purposes. These information sources may include law enforcement sensitive information, open-source information and closed-source sensitive information. The RTIC Specialist will need to interpret, prioritize, and disseminate various pieces of valuable information in both static and in ongoing situations. The individual will need to recognize trends and patterns of a public safety concern and will be able to make rational conclusions based on the observed information.
