About The Position

NBCUniversal is seeking a Real-Time Graphic Artist to provide concept design, animation, implementation, and support for Unreal Engine and Zero Density projects. This role involves building strong professional relationships with various stakeholders, maintaining and updating existing on-screen graphics packages, and staying aware of developing technologies within the broadcast industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for current news and entertainment stories, be a team player, flexible, goal-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines within a live production environment. Support will be provided for all linear and digital platforms as needed.

Requirements

• Strong design background with the ability to adapt quickly to breaking news events
• Design or Animation Degree, or Diploma in Computer Sciences or equivalent studies
• Operational expertise of Zero Density or equivalent Realtime Graphics platforms
• Willingness to learn Flowics and other operational workflows
• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience using Unreal Engine or equivalent Realtime Graphics design program
• Proficiency using industry software applications like Adobe Photoshop Illustrator and After Effects
• Detail oriented, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extremely tight deadlines
• Good time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Candidate must be flexible with their work schedule. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

• Cinema 4D or Blender is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide concept design, animation, implementation, and support of Unreal Engine and Zero Density projects
• Build strong professional relationships with different shareholders involved in our different properties
• On-going maintenance and updating of existing on-screen graphics packages
• Be aware of developing technologies within the industry and be passionate about integrating those into a live broadcast environment
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of all aspects of television production and working within a live production environment
• Support all linear and digital platforms as needed
