The organization is responsible for the issuance of driver’s licenses, maintaining driver records, and managing driver safety programs. It works closely with other agencies and federal partners. Recent federal regulations from the Department of Homeland Security establish rules for REAL ID issuance and record keeping. These requirements must be followed to issue federally compliant driver licenses. To meet increased demand, there is an immediate need for exceptional individuals to join as Driver License Credentialing Specialists. The rollout of a new digitized license system requires limited travel to issuance locations. This position may offer advancement opportunities within the organization. Credentialing Specialists may be assigned to a mobile unit and required to travel to various locations issuing licenses. These locations may include manufacturing centers, libraries, correctional facilities, and other local areas in need of driver licensing services. Overnight travel may be required based on operational needs. Candidates will not be expected to use their personal vehicle. Other duties may be assigned. The focus of this role is to learn the digitized driver license issuance process and applicable state and federal regulations, including REAL ID, Commercial Driver Licensing, and the National Driver Register. Successful candidates will review and analyze secure documentation and personal information provided by applicants.
