About The Position

We are currently seeking a 2nd to 5th year associate to support our Salt Lake City Office’s Real Estate Practice Group, although the candidate may join any existing Buchalter office. The ideal candidate will possess solid and recent real estate transactional experience, including exposure to acquisitions and dispositions, due diligence, leasing, and real estate finance. Qualified candidates will have experience drafting purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, loan documents, leases, instruments such as deeds and easements, and will have solid experience reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, surveys, and zoning reports as part of standard real estate due diligence. Our real estate work involves various types of real estate projects—self-storage, multifamily, retail, and industrial, in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing (both landlord and tenant-side), real estate finance (both lending and borrowing), and real estate development. Real Estate Practice Group clients include national and regional institutions as well as entrepreneurial and middle market clients who rely on the quality and cost-effectiveness of the firm’s legal services. Requirements

  • 2nd to 5th year associate
  • Solid and recent real estate transactional experience
  • Exposure to acquisitions and dispositions
  • Exposure to due diligence
  • Exposure to leasing
  • Exposure to real estate finance
  • Licensed to practice in the state in which the Buchalter office in which the candidate would work is located
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent academic credentials
