About The Position

Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking an experienced Real Estate & Probate Contract Attorney to support complex transactional and probate matters. This fully remote role requires a Florida‑licensed attorney with strong drafting skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to independently manage sophisticated files, including matters involving high‑net‑worth clients and estates. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, responsive, and comfortable working autonomously while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client care. The ideal Estate & Probate, & Attorney holds a JD from an accredited law school, is an active member of the Florida Bar, and has at least three years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation, estate planning, probate administration, and related litigation. Candidates with an LLM in Taxation or Estate Planning are strongly preferred. They must demonstrate proficiency in drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced directives, settlement agreements, and complex contracts, as well as conducting legal research and advising clients on asset protection, tax implications, and probate procedures. Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive client matters with empathy and discretion are essential. The strongest candidates will show sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with financial advisors, CPAs, and internal staff while meeting firm performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate law, probate administration, or both
  • Demonstrated experience handling high‑net‑worth clients, estates, or transactions
  • Strong drafting skills and comfort handling transactional documents independently
  • Familiarity with Broward County courts, e‑filing, and recording processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through
  • Ability to work remotely with consistent responsiveness and professionalism
  • Sound judgment and discretion in sensitive or high‑value matters

Nice To Haves

  • LL.M. in Estate Planning, Taxation, or Real Property
  • Experience with both residential and commercial real estate transactions
  • Prior work with complex probate matters or contested issues
  • Proficiency with Clio or Lexis Nexis
  • Experience coordinating closings or working with title companies

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise residential and commercial real estate contracts, addenda, and closing documents
  • Conduct title review, identify defects, and prepare curative documentation
  • Prepare deeds, affidavits, lien releases, and other recordable instruments
  • Coordinate with title companies, lenders, agents, and clients to ensure smooth closings
  • Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation, negotiation strategy, and risk mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with Florida real estate statutes and Broward County recording requirements
  • Handle matters involving high‑value transactions and high‑net‑worth clients with discretion and precision
  • Draft and file probate petitions, inventories, notices, and related pleadings
  • Manage both summary and formal administration, including complex or high‑value estates
  • Communicate with personal representatives, beneficiaries, creditors, and the court
  • Prepare orders, waivers, consents, and distributions
  • Navigate sensitive family dynamics and confidentiality concerns with professionalism
  • Provide legal analysis and recommendations on estate administration issues
