About The Position

An established law firm in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join its legal team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is interested in expanding their knowledge across multiple areas of law. While prior experience with real estate transactions is beneficial, candidates with strong general paralegal experience and a willingness to learn real estate law are encouraged to apply. Comprehensive training will be provided for the real estate-specific aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
  • Experience preparing legal documents and managing legal files
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
  • Strong willingness to learn new practice areas and legal procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling real estate closings independently
  • Knowledge of title review and settlement procedures
  • Experience using real estate settlement software, such as SoftPro
  • Familiarity with debt collection matters
  • Previous experience in a law firm environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate residential and commercial real estate closings from inception through completion
  • Review, organize, and enter title information accurately
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including: Deeds, Agreements of Sale, Affidavits, Closing-related documentation
  • Maintain accurate legal files and transaction records
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties involved in transactions
  • Schedule closings and coordinate required documentation
  • Assist attorneys with administrative and case management responsibilities
  • Support additional legal practice areas, including debt collection and other general legal matters
  • Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
