About The Position
Akerman LLP is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with 5+ years of experience, particularly in title, survey, and closings, to support homebuilders and developers. This role is suited for an individual who excels at managing high-volume transactions and overseeing deals from the initial contract phase through to closing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm setting
- Strong knowledge of title/survey review and contract administration
- Experience managing multiple transactions independently
- Proficient in MS Office and iManage or similar systems
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on closings experience for developers/homebuilders strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial land acquisition and disposition transactions
- Review title commitments, exceptions, surveys, and legal descriptions
- Prepare closing documents, binders, and trackers
- Coordinate closings, funding, and document execution
- Track deadlines and manage multiple active deals
