About The Position

The Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for coordinating all facets of the escrow process, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies, while serving our parent company Dream Finders Homes, Inc.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of escrow experience required.
• Notary Public
• High School diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SoftPro a plus
• A college degree a plus
• Builder Title experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine residential resale, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosure.
• Read and understand title commitments.
• Resolve title issues (e.g., corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments).
• Follow company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines.
• Coordinate the closing between all parties to the escrow.
• Return all calls, voicemails, and e-mails in a timely manner.
• Assist attorney with other legal matters, not just closings.
• Maintain cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promote/solicit business.
• Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
