About The Position

The Paralegal – Real Estate is responsible for the structured execution of real estate transaction support functions to ensure matter progression, compliance with deadlines, and documentation accuracy within established legal and operational frameworks. This role directly impacts attorney productivity, transaction throughput, and revenue realization through disciplined execution of support tasks, document control, and workflow coordination.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years experience in real estate or transactional paralegal work
  • Experience with real estate transactions and closings
  • Experience with contract and document preparation
  • Experience with title review and due diligence

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely execution of assigned real estate transaction support tasks, including preparing closing documents, deeds, affidavits, and transaction packages; drafting standard correspondence and transaction-related documentation; organizing transaction files and supporting materials; assisting in preparation of closing statements and related documentation; and formatting and proofreading legal documents.
  • Maintaining accurate tracking and execution of transaction timelines and closing deadlines, including conducting initial client interviews and appointment coordination; maintaining transaction calendars and milestone tracking; monitoring contract deadlines, contingencies, and closing dates; confirming completion of required tasks prior to closing; and escalating risks prior to deadline or closing failure.
  • Maintaining organized, complete, and audit-ready transaction files, including managing digital and physical transaction files; ensuring all documents are properly labeled and stored; maintaining version control; and updating case records in PracticePanther.
  • Supporting structured review and organization of title and due diligence materials, including reviewing title commitments and supporting documents for completeness; organizing surveys, title documents, and closing requirements; coordinating with title companies and lenders; and tracking resolution of title issues.
  • Supporting accurate revenue capture through proper task execution and documentation, including recording task activity within case systems; supporting attorneys with documentation needed for billing; ensuring all completed work is reflected in case records; and identifying unbilled work activity.
