About The Position

Energix is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal / Title & Lease Specialist to support renewable energy project acquisitions and development. The role centers on reviewing leases, title work, surveys, and real estate documentation across multiple states to identify risks and ensure clean, accurate project files. This is a remote position with occasional travel to our Arlington, VA office for team meetings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in real estate title review, lease review, or related work
• Background as a paralegal, legal assistant, title examiner, or non‑practicing attorney
• Strong understanding of title, surveys, legal descriptions, and curative processes
• Experience with multi‑state commercial or energy‑related real estate
• Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Oil & gas title experience is a strong plus
• Renewable energy experience helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze leases, title commitments, surveys, easements, and recorded documents
• Identify risks, inconsistencies, and curative needs during due diligence
• Support M&A teams during fast‑paced acquisition timelines
• Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, attorneys, and internal teams
• Summarize and abstract real estate documents for internal stakeholders
• Maintain organized records and ensure data accuracy in company systems
