About The Position

The Weingarten Law Firm LLC. is seeking a full-time Real Estate Paralegal or Legal Assistant & Loan Closing Coordinator to work in-house with a large real estate developer. This role offers the benefits of working for a law firm with the resources and support of an in-house position. The firm handles highly complex and monetarily significant closings. Candidates will be required to work on-site full-time in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal or experienced legal assistant, preferably representing borrowers’ side
  • Strong understanding of real estate practice, loan documentation, and closing procedures
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage fast-paced, high volume workload
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve independently and support senior attorneys

Responsibilities

  • Handling loan closing checklists
  • Preparing resolutions for borrowers and guarantors, affidavits of title, opinion letters, escrow letters, and organizational charts
  • Communicating with lenders’ counsel and title companies
  • Organizing executed loan documents
  • Preparing deeds and transfer forms
  • Preparing contract amendments, master deeds, bylaws, joint venture agreements, etc. (gathering information and preparing forms)
  • Forming new entities, obtaining EINs, and preparing operating agreements
