About The Position

Greystone is seeking an attorney to fill the Real Estate Counsel position for its Boston-based team. This role focuses on providing real estate services to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The Real Estate Counsel will be responsible for drafting and negotiating leases, licenses, easements, deeds, development agreements, and other real estate documents. Additionally, the position ensures compliance with public procurement law, coordinates closings, oversees the preparation of transaction summaries, assists staff with correspondence, and performs legal research. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented attorney with excellent communication skills and an interest in commercial real estate and the public sector, with experience in drafting and reviewing commercial real estate transaction documents.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (from an ABA-accredited law school).
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, including leasing and conveyancing.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and intercommunication skills.
  • Interest in commercial real estate and the public sector.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing commercial real estate transaction documents.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with public entity clients.
  • Working knowledge of Massachusetts public procurement laws.
