About The Position

A nationally recognized AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, REITs, landlords, tenants, lenders, and corporate clients in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.

Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

  • Experience handling complex commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, leasing, and development transactions
  • Experience representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, REITs, lenders, landlords, tenants, and other commercial real estate owners and operators
  • Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, leases, development agreements, easements, and other real estate transaction documents
  • Experience conducting and coordinating title and survey review, zoning and land use analysis, due diligence, transaction management, and closings
  • Experience with a variety of commercial asset classes, including office, multifamily, industrial, retail, hospitality, mixed-use, and development projects

Responsibilities

  • Handling complex commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, leasing, and development transactions
  • Representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, REITs, lenders, landlords, tenants, and other commercial real estate owners and operators
  • Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, leases, development agreements, easements, and other real estate transaction documents
  • Conducting and coordinating title and survey review, zoning and land use analysis, due diligence, transaction management, and closings
  • Working with a variety of commercial asset classes, including office, multifamily, industrial, retail, hospitality, mixed-use, and development projects
  • Managing sophisticated transactions independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary deal teams
  • Engaging in significant client interaction and managing multiple complex matters simultaneously
