Requirements
- Possession of an active Pennsylvania Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser certification.
- Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Investigate ownership records, easements, covenants, and deed descriptions to understand all relevant details
- Visit affected properties and collect information relating to market value, depreciation, liens, judgments, and property features
- Apply appropriate appraisal methods to establish accurate property values
- Assist with preparing damage estimates and support project staff through appraisal reviews and analyses
- Develop market value estimates by reviewing comparable sales, zoning restrictions, market trends, and environmental factors
- Provide clear information to property owners, legal staff, municipal officials, and claim settlement agents
