Requirements

  • Possession of an active Pennsylvania Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser certification.
  • Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate ownership records, easements, covenants, and deed descriptions to understand all relevant details
  • Visit affected properties and collect information relating to market value, depreciation, liens, judgments, and property features
  • Apply appropriate appraisal methods to establish accurate property values
  • Assist with preparing damage estimates and support project staff through appraisal reviews and analyses
  • Develop market value estimates by reviewing comparable sales, zoning restrictions, market trends, and environmental factors
  • Provide clear information to property owners, legal staff, municipal officials, and claim settlement agents
