About The Position

The Real Estate Accounting Clerk provides support to the Accounting Operations Manager directly and the Accounting Department overall.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a cooperative and collegial manner with other department to accomplish Company goals and objectives
  • Proficiency in current office technology (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, desk phones, cell phones, computers, copier/fax machines, etc.)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Associates degree in business related field or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with real estate industry preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Generating real estate commission invoices: Generate invoices from sales database module, Ensure accuracy and proper distribution, Create custom invoices as needed
  • Weekly franchise fee payments: Reconciliation of fees due, Working with Franchise staff for any discrepancies or post closing adjustments, Remitting fees via online portal, Recording payments in accounting software
  • Closing transactions in sales database: Verify accuracy of closing payments received, Work with branch on any discrepancies, Complete closing process for sales
  • Complete special projects, analysis and miscellaneous assignments as required
