About The Position

The Real Estate Accounting Clerk provides support to the Accounting Operations Manager directly and the Accounting Department overall.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a cooperative and collegial manner with other departments to accomplish Company goals and objectives
  • Proficiency in current office technology (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, desk phones, cell phones, computers, copier/fax machines, etc.)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Associates degree in business related field or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with real estate industry preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Generate real estate commission invoices from sales database module
  • Ensure accuracy and proper distribution of invoices
  • Create custom invoices as needed
  • Reconcile weekly franchise fee payments
  • Work with Franchise staff for any discrepancies or post closing adjustments
  • Remit fees via online portal
  • Record payments in accounting software
  • Verify accuracy of closing transactions in sales database
  • Work with branch on any discrepancies
  • Complete closing process for sales
  • Complete special projects, analysis and miscellaneous assignments as required
