Ready Mix Driver
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role involves safely delivering ready-mix concrete to job sites while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. The driver will operate and control mixing functions to ensure product quality meets specifications, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and communicate with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers to coordinate efficient deliveries. The position also requires cleaning and maintaining the truck for safe operation and a professional appearance.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely
- Strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and responsible driving practices
- Ability to manage time, follow delivery schedules, and adapt to changing job site conditions
- Mechanical awareness to identify basic equipment or vehicle issues
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused, team-oriented approach
