About The Position

This is a 0.5 FTE position located at Arlington Science Focus Elementary School. The role requires a deep understanding of language arts research, practice, and materials, including core programs, supplementary programs, and children's literature. The specialist will also be knowledgeable in both group and individual assessment and how to interpret the results. The position involves working collaboratively as part of a team and potentially leading team meetings and language arts committees.

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Must have or be eligible for reading endorsement (masters in reading or masters in another teaching area plus reading endorsement).

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area.

Responsibilities
