About The Position

As a Sylvan Teacher, you’ll deliver personalized instruction in math and/or ELA using our proven, engaging programs. You’ll create balanced, fun learning sessions that help elementary students grow — all in a low-pressure, rewarding setting. This role offers the opportunity to work with small groups or one-on-one, without the stress of lesson planning, grading, or classroom management. Teachers can enjoy a positive, upbeat atmosphere where kids are excited to learn, and use their teaching expertise to help students build confidence and master skills.

Requirements

• Availability during school hours (Monday–Thursday, mornings and early afternoons) is essential for this position
• Current or retired K-12 teacher (or strong experience with this age group)
• Experience teaching math up to Pre-Algebra and/or ELA/Reading
• A genuine passion for motivating and inspiring students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility, problem-solving ability, and a team-player attitude

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or related field is a plus
