About The Position

The Readiness & Training Analyst serves as a Subject Matter Expert to NSWG11 N3, assisting with Defense Readiness Reporting (DRRS), Reserve Training Curriculum and Scopes, and the development/execution of long and short-term training plans. The analyst supports exercise planning with the Plans Officer, validates training/equipment requirements, helps administer HighRisk Training (HRT) and Operational Risk Management (ORM) programs, and ensures training/exercise completion is recorded in required systems. Work is performed on site at NSWG11, SSTC, NAB Coronado, CA.

Requirements

  • Must have a current SECRET clearance
  • Hold and maintain a valid state driver’s license and required insurance
  • U.S. Citizenship/Residency required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Served at a minimum SOC or SBC (E‑7) while on Active Duty
  • Experience running High‑Risk Training evolutions within NSW
  • Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to operate government vehicles (trucks/vans)
  • Uphold professional standards: strong work ethic; excellent verbal/written communication; attention to detail; ability to work independently; ability to write correspondence in military format; comply with applicable Federal/DoD/Navy/USSOCOM policies
  • Safety & Drug‑Free Workforce: random testing, reporting of mishaps, and compliance with FAR 252.223‑7004
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to sit and work in a designated workspace for periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) or Journeyman Instructor
  • Completed NSW Range Safety Officer training

Responsibilities

  • Support NSWG‑11 Defense Readiness Reporting (DRRS) and readiness dashboards
  • Develop Reserve Training Curriculum & Training Scopes
  • Collaborate with the Plans Officer for exercise support
  • Assist with training program compliance across NSWG‑11
  • Validate operational training & equipment requirements, support RIB inputs
  • Develop/execute long‑ and short‑term training plans
  • Assist HRT/ORM program administration, inspection, and execution
  • Ensure training/exercise completion is recorded in required systems
  • Provide Monthly Status Reports with FTE hours by support category
  • provide certification/licensing documentation upon request
  • Safeguard Government equipment/information

  • minimize service impacts during personnel changes
  • Security/CUI: comply with DD254; NIPR/SIPR workstation access requirements; base access; report incidents/breaches
