$50,000 - $175,000

About The Position

We are seeking a skilled React Frontend Lead to build responsive, accessible, and highly interactive user interfaces using React and Next.js. This role involves maximizing page speeds and Core Web Vitals, connecting front-end components with services, implementing state handling, and writing modular, testable code. You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers, and gain familiarity with cloud hosting and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with headless CMS, database systems, modern web security, monorepos, and identity providers is also expected. A key responsibility will be building and maintaining a configurable, reusable library of e-commerce React components and developing/optimizing headless e-commerce storefronts, including secure connections to a BFF layer/SAP Commerce Cloud and managing complex cart/checkout workflows. Experience with OIDC integration with SAP Commerce Cloud and deployments to edge platforms like SAP Commerce Cloud is crucial. A strong understanding of the Storefront API, product catalogs, collections, customer accounts, and metafields is required.

Requirements

  • React and Next.js
  • RESTful APIs or GraphQL
  • Context API, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Query
  • Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
  • Figma wireframes
  • Cloud hosting (preferably GCP Cloud Run) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Strapi, Sanity)
  • Database systems (SQL/NoSQL), and ORMs like Prisma
  • Modern web security best practices (Next-Auth/Auth.js, JWT, CORS)
  • Monorepos (Nx, Turborepo)
  • Identity providers using OAuth and OIDC
  • Storybook, Radix UI, or Tailwind UI
  • Advanced React patterns (compound components, render props, slots)
  • Headless e-commerce storefronts
  • BFF layer/SAP Commerce Cloud using the Storefront API (GraphQL)
  • Complex cart/checkout workflows
  • Identity provider integration using OIDC with SAP Commerce Cloud
  • Deployments and CI/CD pipelines to edge platforms like SAP Commerce Cloud
  • Storefront API, product catalogs, collections, customer accounts, and metafields

Responsibilities

  • Build responsive, accessible, and highly interactive user interfaces using React and Next.js.
  • Maximize page speeds and Core Web Vitals using Next.js optimization features (SSR, SSG, image optimization, dynamic imports, and caching).
  • Connect front-end components with internal and third-party services using RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
  • Implement clean and efficient client-side state handling using Context API, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Query.
  • Write modular, reusable, and well-documented code with unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress).
  • Partner with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate technical requirements and Figma wireframes into functional code.
  • Build and maintain a highly configurable, reusable library of e-commerce React components to ensure UI consistency across brands using tools like Storybook, Radix UI, or Tailwind UI.
  • Develop and optimize headless e-commerce storefronts using React and Next.js.
  • Connect the frontend UI securely to a BFF layer/SAP Commerce Cloud using the Storefront API (GraphQL) and handle complex cart/checkout workflows.
  • Manage deployments and CI/CD pipelines to edge platforms like SAP Commerce Cloud.
