About The Position

Reach Truck Operators move received pallets through the facility, manage storage organization and product rotation using FEFO/FIFO, and load finished goods, transfers, and donation pallets onto outbound trailers while maintaining accurate load diagrams. They perform duties safely, promptly, and in an organized manner in accordance with standard operating procedures and Home Chef’s safety and quality commitments.

The role supports receiving, production, shipping, warehouse organization, and other warehouse functions. Operators verify and stage inbound products, scan and tag pallets, place and rotate products in storage, replenish production pick positions, prepare products for disposition, and keep docks and storage areas clean and organized. They also inspect and secure trailers, load and seal outbound shipments, and complete required documentation.

The schedule is 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with Monday and Tuesday off. The California pay range is $24.75 per hour.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent, such as a GED.
• Follow safety procedures, including pre-shift equipment checks and required PPE.
• Follow facility GMPs and warehouse SOPs and support food-safety and quality programs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience using a stand-up counterbalance forklift or reach truck.

Responsibilities

• Safely secure inbound trailers before unloading; unload and stage pallets for receiving and quality inspection.
• Separate mixed products onto individual pallets to support accurate inspection and receipt.
• Scan received pallets and ensure each has the required QA sticker and completed Receiving License Plate; move tagged pallets to the correct storage location.
• Rotate older like-product pallets into selection positions and place newly received products in suitable elevated storage locations.
• Keep receiving and shipping docks clear of debris and keep pallets and tools organized.
• Verify products issued to production against the applicable drop list, production sheet, or boxing callout.
• Stock production drop zones according to communicated guidelines and keep them clean, organized, and free of debris or broken pallets.
• Ensure returned pallets are not mixed and that boxes are taped and labeled according to food-safety requirements.
• Secure outbound trailers and inspect them for debris, holes, pests, and temperature deviations before loading.
• Identify and load outbound pallets, complete accurate load diagrams, seal trucks, and submit load diagrams to the lead or supervisor for driver pickup.
• Remove trailer safety devices after paperwork is submitted so drivers can connect to designated trailers.
• Return products to their proper warehouse locations, keep items grouped, and prevent mixed pallets in storage or pick bays.
• Rotate older products into floor selection or pick positions and replenish those positions to support warehouse and production requests.
• Remove and sort broken or empty pallets; stack and wrap usable pallets and stage unusable pallets in designated areas for removal.
• Prepare products for hold, donation, resale, or vendor return by stacking, wrapping, tagging, and moving them to designated areas.
• Assist with other warehouse or departmental functions and use other equipment for which the operator is certified, as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, conduct pre-shift equipment checks, and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Follow facility Good Manufacturing Practices and support the company’s SQF food-safety system and quality programs.
• Sign out required equipment and ensure it is signed back in at the end of the shift.
• Follow warehouse standard operating procedures, maintain professional conduct, and work respectfully with others.
