About The Position

The Warehouse Equipment Operator role is crucial for efficient warehouse operations, focusing on the safe and accurate handling of products. This position involves operating forklifts and reach trucks to manage inbound and outbound trailers, stocking, rotating inventory, and maintaining equipment. The operator will use scanner guns to inspect shipments, document discrepancies, and perform quality checks to ensure operational smoothness and product integrity.

Requirements

• Dedication to safety, including wearing proper safety equipment (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses).
• Completion of safety training before operating warehouse equipment.
• Attention to detail for stock numbers, inventory defects, and safe product movement.
• Completed High school education.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Willingness and ability to complete training and obtain forklift certification (previous experience preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and reach trucks to efficiently load and unload products from inbound and outbound trailers.
• Manage inventory by stocking, rotating, and ensuring products are in their proper place.
• Maintain and operate equipment such as forklifts with slip-sheet attachments, reach trucks (up to 35 feet), and rider jacks.
• Perform loading and unloading at the dock, down-stocking, re-stocking, and rotating dated products.
• Use scanner guns or wands to inspect shipments for errors or defects and document any discrepancies.
• Perform routine quality checks to identify and report damages, shortages, or errors.
