About The Position

As a Patient Access Representative, you play a vital role in creating a positive, seamless experience for every patient. From registration to financial guidance, you ensure patients feel supported, informed, and confident every step of the way. In this dynamic, patient-facing role, you’ll support key functions within Revenue Cycle Services, including: Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service at every interaction, Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently, Completing accurate patient registration, including demographic and insurance verification, Coordinating insurance authorizations and prior approvals, Providing financial counseling and helping patients understand payment options or solutions, Handling cashiering responsibilities and processing patient payments, Managing release of information requests while ensuring compliance with privacy standards, Collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth operations.

Requirements

  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a healthcare setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working with computer systems and handling sensitive information
  • Clear communication skills and a compassionate, professional demeanor
  • Previous experience in healthcare, registration, call center, or front desk roles is a plus
  • At least one year of experience in hospital or physician Revenue Cycle strongly preferred.
  • Requires working knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
