About The Position

This position is responsible for timely and accurate resolution of accounts receivable for IU Health entities supported by Revenue Cycle System Services. The role adheres to departmental productivity and quality standards in support of operational goals. Remote work is available to candidates who are local to Indiana and can commute to designated IU Health facilities as needed.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of payer billing requirements and regulations.
• High level of interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
• Candidates working remotely must be local to Indiana and able to commute to designated IU Health facilities as needed.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in hospital or physician billing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve accounts receivable for supported IU Health entities accurately and promptly.
• Perform revenue cycle functions that may include provider enrollment, charge description master and fee schedule maintenance, claim submission, third-party follow-up, cash posting, denial appeal and recovery, audit defense and recovery, and patient collections.
• Meet departmental productivity and quality standards.
