The Behavior Technician spends the first 30 days of employment completing training and preparing for the Registered Behavior Technician certification. The essential functions, duties, and responsibilities are consistent between the Behavior Technician and Registered Behavior Technician roles. The CSBS RBT: Intensive Behavior Interventionist role received the same training and RBT certification preparation as all BY YOUR SIDE staff with an additional 1-2 weeks of training specific to the CSBS setting. The Intensive Behavior Interventionist at BY YOUR SIDE delivers direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children ages 6–21 in center-based settings tailored to specialized programming for intensive behavior support. Working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized treatment plans that support the development of skills needed to access less restrictive learning environments. The R/BT plays a key role in responding to each client’s unique needs, collaborating with relevant stakeholders, and adapting therapeutic activities to keep clients actively engaged and motivated.
