About The Position

The Specialist, Relational Accountability and Transformation Hub (RATH) provides strategic and operational support to the Director to advance IYR’s framework for restorative practice, anti-racism, and relational accountability. This role bridges the space between People & Culture and RATH by ensuring that systems, processes, and communications are aligned, well-documented, and consistently implemented across the organization. The Specialist plays a key role in coordinating and operationalizing RATH’s work by managing systems, tracking progress, and supporting cross-organizational alignment. This includes strengthening how initiatives are implemented, how learning is captured, and how accountability is sustained over time. This position advances IYR’s Strategic Plan by supporting the implementation of restorative processes, change management initiatives, and organization-wide learning. The Specialist ensures that systems are clear, accessible, and responsive, contributing to IYR’s ability to sustain cultural transformation, reduce risk, and support staff, youth, and community relationships in a grounded and consistent way.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience providing coordination, administrative, or implementation support in complex organizational or community-based environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, process documentation, or systems tracking that supports organizational learning and accountability.
  • A diploma or degree in project coordination, organizational development, Indigenous studies, equity studies, or other related field is preferred.
  • A combination of formal education, professional experience, and lived experience will be recognized, particularly where candidates bring strong knowledge of Indigenous and/or anti-racist organizational practices.
  • Familiarity with restorative practice, anti-racism, and/or change management work, and the ability to translate these approaches into consistent processes and records.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous governance principles, cultural safety, and trauma-informed approaches in workplace and community contexts.
  • Experience managing information systems, shared tools, and data tracking to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and continuity of work.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and ensure follow-through across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of organization-wide systems change under the IYR Strategic Plan.
  • Help align internal procedures, communications, and documentation with RATH’s accountability frameworks.
  • Track and report on measurable indicators of progress related to cultural transformation and systems integration.
  • Maintain organized records that help the Director and leadership evaluate and adjust strategies over time.
  • Assist with the coordination and documentation of restorative circles, mediations, and debriefs led by the Director.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity in all restorative and accountability processes.
  • Document outcomes and insights from healing and conflict-resolution processes to inform organizational learning and improvement.
  • Support trauma-informed and culturally grounded practices by ensuring that processes are clearly communicated and accessible.
  • Support the design, coordination, and delivery of organization-wide training, coaching, and reflection sessions.
  • Maintain records of participation, learning outcomes, and feedback to inform future planning.
  • Assist in managing evaluation activities, ensuring follow-up and accessibility for staff and community partners.
  • Contribute to maintaining RATH’s internal resource library and shared tools for ongoing learning.
  • Support the Director in coordinating and implementing RATH’s core initiatives.
  • Ensure communication, timelines, and deliverables are organized and transparent across departments.
  • Collaborate with the Equity and Engagement Specialist of People & Culture to maintain alignment between RATH’s restorative and anti-racist frameworks and HR policies.
  • Help sustain relationships with Staff, Elders, and Youth participants by coordinating engagement and feedback processes that strengthen trust and accountability.
  • Promote a collaborative, grounded workplace that reflects IYR’s principles of care, transparency, and shared responsibility.
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, and documentation for restorative and change management initiatives.
  • Track department deliverables, timelines, and milestones, ensuring alignment with RATH and organizational priorities.
  • Maintain RATH’s data, templates, and shared tools to support consistent communication and accountability.
  • Design meeting materials, reports, and summaries that capture learnings and outcomes from restorative and anti-racism processes.
  • Coordinate and record follow-up actions to ensure commitments are carried through to completion.
  • Represent RATH in cross-departmental meetings to support coordination and knowledge-sharing.
  • Collaborate with Elders, youth, and community partners to ensure that documentation and processes are relationally informed.
  • Support the development, recruitment, and management of Staff, Youth, and Elder advising circles.
  • Carry out duties in a manner that protects personal health and safety and that of others.
  • Report all potential hazards, incidents, and injuries promptly.
  • Cooperate with all measures introduced in the workplace to improve occupational health and safety.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and demonstrate integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness in all work.
  • Support and participate in IYR staff, department, and team meetings.
  • Participate in external and internal committees, working groups, and projects as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.
  • Be available for in-person engagements when required and provided reasonable notice.
