Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business-related field.
  • Excellent communication skills as they will be interacting with internal and external parties regarding complex rate related issues.
  • At least five years of increasingly related responsible experience.
  • Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment, following complicated oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines that accommodate exterior mandated timelines.
  • Ability to write and speak professionally as position is required to make effective presentations.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills and knowledge of general accounting procedures is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law, or the ability to provide for independent transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Support Fiscal Supervisor-Rates with all aspects of the vendorization process pertaining to rates, including, but not limited to reviewing vendor applications, drafting vendor correspondence, rate additions, deletions, and terminations
  • Maintain rates to ensure proper use within Schedule of Maximum Allowance of Reimbursement, Medical or State Median set Rates and Guidelines.
  • Maintain service codes to ensure proper use within Title 17 Regulations, Statutory Requirements and Guidelines and proper use of accounts.
  • Manage and implement various rate increases/changes due to DDS mandated rate additions and/or adjustments.
  • Interacts with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Rates and Fiscal Compliance Section regarding rates vendorization and/or other fiscal issues
  • Reviews rate information and acts as rate resource person for the agency.
  • Serve as liaison between the fiscal and community services departments for vendorization and rate issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
