About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Rapid Response Security Guard to provide security coverage at varying sites under the Silicon Valley Branch. Sites may include San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, Fremont, Milpitas, Gilroy, Santa Cruz, Hollister, Salinas, and Monterey. Duties and assignments vary by day and special event and may involve customer service, patrols, or surveillance. The role requires flexibility to work any day of the week and any shift—day, swing, or overnight—as scheduling needs vary. This is a full-time position scheduled for 32–40 hours per week, paying $24 per hour. A uniform is provided at no cost. GardaWorld offers a benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Have a state security license and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have an active driver's license.
• Be flexible and available to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight shifts.
• Be able to adapt to changing situations, think quickly, and solve problems responsively.
• Include an up-to-date security resume.
• Willingness and ability to cover sites across the Silicon Valley Branch.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of security experience is preferred.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to ensure security.
• Conduct patrols to identify suspicious activity.
• Control access points and verify identities.

• Provide customer service while maintaining security.
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents.
