The Rapid Response RN is a full-time position working a 36-hour week on the 7A - 7P shift. This role is responsible for engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The position upholds a culture of safety, continuously evaluates outcomes, and may administer medications and treatments. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential, as is fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The RN is expected to pursue professional development, maintain certifications, and adhere to ethical practices. Accurate EHR documentation is required. This role may require floating to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate age-specific competency in patient care.
