About The Position

The YWCA is seeking volunteers for its 24/7 Rape Crisis Hotline. This role involves answering calls, responding to crisis calls from local hospitals, counseling victims of sexual violence, and providing resources for recovery. Volunteers will receive comprehensive training and must be able to provide a one-year service commitment. This is a part-time, non-compensated position that offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work from home temporarily. Candidates must be 18 years or older, female, and possess a mobile phone. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be female.
• Requires mobile phone.
• One-year commitment required.
• Complete the 40+ hour Crisis Intervention Training.
• Provide documented proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
