About The Position

The Ranked Principal MPAS Faculty position is a full-time role focused on teaching within a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program. This role requires a strong academic background, clinical experience, and a commitment to educating future healthcare professionals. The faculty member will be involved in various aspects of the program, including curriculum development, student mentoring, and program evaluation.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or doctoral degree in a health-related discipline.
  • Current NCCPA certification (for Physician Assistant Candidates).
  • Current Minnesota PA license or eligibility for licensure in Minnesota (for Physician Assistant Candidates).
  • Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience (for Physician Assistant Candidates).
  • Current professional certification and/or licensure in discipline (for Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Other Allied Health Candidates).
  • Minnesota licensure or eligibility for licensure (for Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Other Allied Health Candidates).
  • Minimum of two years of professional clinical experience (for Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Other Allied Health Candidates).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in higher education, health professions education, or clinical training programs.
  • Experience with assessment, program evaluation, outcomes measurement, or accreditation processes.
  • Familiarity with ARC-PA standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Experience mentoring students in academic or clinical environments, including research, scholarly, quality improvement, or capstone projects.
  • Demonstrated scholarly activity, including presentations, publications, or research.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and mentor students in the MPAS program.
