The Range Operator is responsible for the overall performance of the finishing range, ensuring all quality, process, and cost standards are met, procedures are followed, and records are maintained correctly. This role involves observing fabric, identifying defects, and making decisions on rolls in consultation with management and QA. The operator will input machine settings, provide feedback on fabric quality, complete all necessary paperwork and record-keeping, and assist with EVS and broken filament detector operations. Key tasks include splicing and setting up the machine for optimal quality and efficiency, performing distortion measurements, wrapping rolls according to customer specifications, cutting samples, completing splice check samples, and tagging fabric for lab testing. The operator will also be responsible for cleaning during finishing changes and maintaining all records according to ISO standards.
